The Juniper Collection, our Organic Cedar line is composed of fibers from Juniper Mexicana. Though this species of trees produces oils which are used in perfumes and many household supplies and makes excellent fence posts, many additional acres of juniper have had to be eradicated due to their negative impact on the acquifer - causing major drinking water shortages for man and wildlife. We use this discarded Juniper and blend it with recycled polyethylene plastics to create a natural, earth-friendly decking material with the strength, durability and beauty of all MoistureShield materials. And because of Juniper's durability and natural resistance to pests and mildew, the Juniper does not contain excess chemicals.
